Hey! Im Abena- you may have known me by my middle name, Kay.
Most people tell me they were nervous before their shoot. Not about the photos — about being seen. About whether they'd look awkward, or feel like they had to perform, or worry that their love wasn't 'photogenic' enough.
And then we start. And within ten minutes, they're laughing, or crying, or standing on a cliff edge holding each other like the world only exists for them right then.
That's the space I make. Not because I'm magic — because I've been the person who needed it too.
didn't always know how to hold space like this. For a long time, I didn't know how to hold space for myself. I spent years learning what safety actually feels like — not the absence of danger, but the presence of trust. Of being allowed to be exactly who you are, without explanation or apology.
When I picked up a camera, I realized that's what I was actually chasing. Not perfect poses. Not Pinterest-worthy backdrops. But that rare, electric feeling of: 'Oh. I don't have to shrink here.
That's what I want for you. Not my story — yours. The messy, beautiful, unrepeatable story of the two of you, in a place that makes you feel alive, with nothing to do but be together.
I bring the calm, the bad jokes, the permission to be weird. You bring the love. The rest just... happens."

Today. My commercial studio is based in Wolfville, Nova Scotia. I travel worldwide for women ready to be seen.

I really aim to keep my work as true to color as possible while having a touch of warmth and earth tones.From golden sunsets and veils blowing romantically in the wind. I am such a lover of nature and love giving my images a warm touch that make your soul feel comfort , intimacy and warmth.
Sixteen years of experience
I started photography as a business in 2010 after giving birth to my first born, my son and finding a deeper passion behind taking photos. Capturing milestones of tiny toes that would never be this tiny again. Over time I found my calling in women's work after escaping a violent marriage with a fire in my belly to help heal women like myself .
